Founded in 2022 by Aleks Furman, Flex Design Studio is built on one clear goal: making clients genuinely happy. We go beyond expectations with flexible, efficient processes and smart use of technology—especially when it comes to meeting tight deadlines and navigating the chaos of construction. Our approach delivers the kind of attentive, thoughtful service clients deserve but rarely get, because we take the time to truly understand their needs. WHO IS ALEKS?
With two decades in Chicago’s architecture and design scene, Aleks has collaborated with major players like Google, Brunswick, Prudential, Avexis, and MedMen. She has a sharp instinct for understanding what clients really need and translating that into designs that not only look great but also drive real business impact. Her work blends clean aesthetics, meticulous detail, deep product knowledge, and a strong sense of brand identity—making her a go-to for companies looking to elevate their spaces with purpose and style.
What truly sets Aleks apart, though, is her ability to listen. She doesn’t just take notes—she engages, asks the right questions, and digs deep to understand each client’s vision. CHICAGO TO NEW ORLEANS
When Aleks crossed paths with Chris Berends, Melinda Cohen, and James Dufrene—owners of Raven PMG—it was clear they shared a mutual passion for great design, smart problem-solving, and going the extra mile for clients. That instant alignment led Raven PMG to offer Flex Design Studio a place under its “wing,” inviting us to relocate to New Orleans and grow with their support.

Now based in a beautiful studio in the Bywater neighborhood, Flex Design Studio has expanded into a full creative team with close ties to a top-tier fabrication company that shares our grassroots spirit. Aleks and Melinda’s shared love for design has sparked exciting collaborations in furniture, lighting, and architecture—and thanks to our partnership with Raven PMG, the sky’s the limit.
